On the 5th of March 2025, A Peaceful Protect was held by Members of Igbaro Otesade Royal Family at Oko Ado , Eti Osa Local Government, Lekki – Epe Expressway Lagos State Nigeria. Calling on the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwoolu to save their soul from a Property developer Mr Oyeleke Ajiboye who.is a specilsed Land Grabber from taking over there Land in Oko Ado in etinosa LG
The peaceful protest was to notify the Government in regards to the Land Grabbing, Harassment and malicious destruction of property by Mr Oyeleke Ajiboye of Efficacy Construction Company.
About 35 years ago At Oko Ado,
4 to 5 Acres of Land were acquired by the fore fathers of the Otesade Royal Family, They did not just Acquire the Acres of Land, but they made sure they collected the Required Documents Relating to the Acres of Land, such as ;
The Allocation
The Consent
The Gazette, they also got the Court pass..
As Years passed by, the Otesade Royal Family sold some part of this Acres of Land, to different people who bought and built their properties Successfully without any hassle, on the land they purchased directly from the family…
Just Recently, Earlier this year 2025, A man by the name, Mr Oyeleke Ajiboye, Efficacy Construction Company came in to the picture to grab virtually almost all the land that were originally owned by the Otesade Royal family, Mr Oyeleke Ajiboye Alias Efficacy, decided to Grab the Otesade’s Family Land without any form of documentation, Permission or Approval From the Lagos state Government, he further went ahead as soon as he Got on the Acres of Land Originally Owned by Otesade family, to maliciously demolish all the properties that were already built by buyers on the land…
The Original Owners, on Hearing This development Decided to meet with Mr Ajiboye, (Efficacy) but were harassed by the uniformed men and area boys, Mr Ajiboye Oyeleke (Efficacy), go with as his Body guard.This Land Grabber also built a fence round the acres of land.
He remained adamant, and continued with his work on the said land even after he was asked to discontinue work by Otesade Royal Family…
The Otesade Royal family Therefore went to The Lagos State House Of Assembly, Alausa Ikeja and met with the Legislative arm of the Government to Present their grievance.
At The Lagos State House Of Assembly, A round table meeting was held Between the Otesade Royal Family and some members led by Honorable Toboun,
The Honorable member pleaded with them to be patient, he made it known to them, that they were aware of the issue on the land saying the Government has interest on the land and will be using the land
The Honorable member told the Otesade family that the Government have been making arrangement to provide them with another acre of land that the govt actually prepares for them…
The Otesade Royal Family disagreed because the land that they were to be compensated with, was also owned by them..
Afterwards the Otesade Royal Family Sued Mr Ajiboye Oyeleke, (Efficacy) to the High Court at Oko Ado, Eti Osa, Lekki-Epe Express way, where a judgment was passed for both parties to suspend all work ongoing, Efficacy turned deaf ears and still continues to work there,
The otesade Family reliable gathered that he sold some parts of the land to another buyer.
However, when the Otesade family approached the new buyer from continuing work on the land because of the crisis on the land, he immediately put a stop to all work on the land..
Meanwhile, Some Members of The press, Had A brief Chat with the Igbaro Otesade Family’s Lawyer, Barrister Kingsley Okoro, He Disclosed To The Journalists, confirming the Threats To Life, Violence, Vicious Treatment and Demolition Of Properties belongings to the said Family.
Also he was able to aligned the Press to the fact that the Acres Of Land owned by Otesade Royal Family have been covered by strong titles such as, An Excision From The Lagos state Government, A Sub-sitting Court Judgement, Allocation and an Approved Layout given by the Ministry Of Physical Planing, Lagos State.
Now the Otesade family is calling on the Government of Lagos state to come to their aid… So they can get their Lands back.
