Fayab Shines at Orona Day 2025, Celebrating Oba Olugbenle, Sen YAYI and the Glorious Heritage of Yewaland  By Temidayo Babalola

Hon. Fayomi Abraham Ajibola, popularly known as Fayab joined eminent sons and daughters of Yewa at the Orona Day 2025 celebration in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government. This year’s edition once again showcased the rich cultural heritage, unity and resilience that the Yewa people are known for.

Fayab used the occasion to appreciate and commend the outstanding leadership of the Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, MFR, as well as the cultural commitment of Senator Olamilekan Adeola YAYI. Their collective dedication continues to ensure that Yewa’s culture, tradition and identity remain celebrated both locally and globally.

It is widely acknowledged that the Yewa culture has gained international recognition through the annual Orona Day Festival, a unifying event that highlights the depth and beauty of our heritage. Fayab saluted all stakeholders, including the Ogun State Government, for prioritizing culture in their policies and development agenda.

As an aspirant for the Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency, Fayab described the day as a symbol of hope and renewed assurance, a reminder that the people of Yewa and Ipokia will continue to shine on the global stage. He reaffirmed his commitment to championing development, cultural preservation and impactful representation that will uplift Yewaland and contribute significantly to the progress of Ogun State.
