Adeola Azeez Foundation Builds High-speed tech Hub for Ogun Primary school

…promises to build for more schools this year

The Adeola Azeez Community Care Foundation (AACCF) officially launched and handed over a fully equipped Tech Hub at Emmanuel Anglican Primary School, Italupẹ, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State on the 19th of January 2026, marking a significant milestone in expanding access to quality digital learning and technology adoption for public primary school pupils.

The Tech Hub was established to bridge the digital divide between pupils in public schools and their private-school counterparts, while creating a safe, structured, and future-ready learning environment that supports digital literacy from an early age.

The launch event was graced by top dignitaries in the Ogun state government led by the first lady, Her Excellency, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun and Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele,key stakeholders in education, religious institutions, community leaders, partners, and educators. The Foundation also acknowledged the institutional support of First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Providus Bank Limited, Microsoft alongside executional support from Teach for Nigeria, whose contributions were instrumental to the successful delivery of the project.

Designed to meet modern educational and safety standards, the Tech Hub features network-ready desktop computers with licensed educational software, high-definition projectors and projection screens, ergonomic furniture tailored for young learners, and secured workstations. To ensure sustainability and uninterrupted learning, the facility is powered by a solar energy system with inverters and battery storage. Safety installations include smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, CCTV surveillance, reinforced access controls, protective window fittings, and adequate ventilation.

Speaking at the launch, Mrs. Adeola Azeez, Founder of the Adeola Azeez Community Care Foundation, reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to inclusive education and long-term community impact.

“For the economy to truly progress, the grassroots must progress first. Development cannot only sit at the top. By investing in public primary schools and equipping young learners with digital tools early, we are laying a foundation for inclusive growth that benefits communities and the nation as a whole.”

The Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Her Excellency Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, commended the vision and impact of the Foundation and praised the Founder for her dedication to inclusive development. “What stands out is her dedication to creating opportunities for others, particularly women and children.”

She further emphasized that the initiative goes beyond the provision of equipment, emphasizing the broader educational value of the Tech Hub. “This project does much more than provide computers. It will expose pupils to essential digital skills, support teachers in delivering modern, engaging lessons, and open young minds to possibilities beyond their immediate environment.”

In her remarks, the First Lady of Ogun State, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, expressed appreciation to the Adeola Azeez Community Care Foundation for its sustained investment in societal development, particularly in empowering young people. She noted that government efforts alone are not sufficient to address developmental challenges and emphasized the importance of partnerships with committed individuals and organisations.

“It is truly heartening to see individuals like the Adeola Azeez Community Care Foundation recognize the need to give back to society through such impactful channels,” she said, while thanking the Foundation for supporting youth development and education.

Delivering a goodwill message at the event, Mrs. Molade Adeniyi, CEO of Teach For Nigeria, one of the partners, commended the Adeola Azeez Community Care Foundation for its commitment to advancing equitable education and digital access. She described the Tech Hub as a critical step toward long-term impact, noting that:

“We are not just launching a Tech Hub; we are creating a pathway to digital inclusion, curiosity, creativity, innovation, and endless possibilities for the pupils of this school and the wider Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area. This hub will provide a safe and supportive space where young minds can build foundational digital literacy, explore emerging technologies, develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and gain early exposure to the tools that shape today’s economy.”

The initiative aligns with Ogun State’s broader education and inclusive development goals, reinforcing the importance of early exposure to digital tools as a foundation for academic growth, innovation, and competitiveness in a rapidly evolving world. Also present at the launch were the Diocesan Bishop of Ijebu Anglican Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. Peter Rotimi Oludipe; Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Professor Abayomi Arigbabu; Executive Secretary, Ijebu Local Government Area, Honorable Dare Alebiosu; Executive Chairman, Ogun state SUBEB, Evangelist Olalekan Ifede.

With the launch of the multi-million naira Emmanuel Anglican Primary School Tech Hub, the Adeola Azeez Community Care Foundation reaffirms her commitment to bring technology closer to the grassroots, with more public primary schools lined up for such tech hubs and call on corporate bodies and institutions to support the vision in empowering communities through education, technology, and sustainable development.
