Omo-Opek Honoured with Three Major Recognitions At The 2026 Golden Stars Award
Alhaja Queen Isimot Abake Abiola, popularly known as Omo-Opeki, was one of the notable personalities recognised at the 2026 Golden Stars Award, receiving three separate honours in recognition of her humanitarian work, leadership, and enduring contributions to society. Although she was unable to attend the ceremony in person due to her stay in the United States, she was represented by the Lagos State FUMAN Governor, Mayor Tunde Damendra, alongside fellow executives including Labaika, Gbogeraye, Alagbada, and others. Also present to receive the honours on her behalf was her son, Kayode, accompanied by a number of her friends based in Lagos, Nigeria.
The awards ceremony, held on Saturday, 25 July 2026, at Watercress Hotels and Events, Ikeja, Lagos, brought together distinguished personalities from entertainment, business, public service, sports, entrepreneurship and philanthropy to celebrate excellence across various sectors.

The awards were received on her behalf by her representatives during the ceremony, with members of the Fuji music community and close associates standing in for the respected music and humanitarian figure. The first two recognitions were presented as commemorative trophies, while the third came as a Certificate of Distinguished Conferment, officially appointing her as Grand Matron of the Golden Stars Award.
According to the certificate presented during the event, the honorary title was conferred in recognition of her outstanding legacy, community impact, unwavering service to humanity, and philanthropic leadership.
