JUST-IN : Prophet Oladele Ogundipe Issues Disclaimer Over NewSeraph’s ‘NODE 8.0’ Appearance
The General Overseer of Genesis Global, Prophet Oladele Israel Ogundipe, has officially issued a public disclaimer regarding the upcoming Night of Divine Experience (NODE 8.0) organized by the NewSeraph movement, confirming that he will not be ministering at the event.
The clarification follows concerns over the continued use of Prophet Ogundipe’s image across promotional flyers, jingles, and event materials. The cleric revealed that despite notifying the event’s organizing committee early on regarding his inability to attend due to prior commitments, his image was still used prominently to publicize the gathering.
”When the chairman of the organizing committee reached out to me, I explicitly informed them that I would not be available,” Prophet Ogundipe stated. “Yet, my face is being featured on promotional posters and jingles.
I do not want a situation where the public perceives me as irresponsible or unreliable when I do not show up.”
Addressing Financial Rumors and Ministerial Integrity
In his statement, the Genesis Global leader strongly debunked internet rumors alleging that he charged or received honorariums between 3 million to 4 million Naira to appear at the program.
Reiterating his long-standing policy against charging churches or event hosts to preach, Prophet Ogundipe emphasized that no financial transaction occurred between his ministry and the organizers.
He added that the continued misleading publicity unfairly overshadows other invited ministers who are scheduled to serve at the program.
Addressing broader internet rumors and past accusations regarding ministering fees, Ogundipe reflected on previous international engagements in the United States and Canada where he turned down cash honorariums of $5,000 and $10,000 to maintain his personal convictions.
”Normally, I am not supposed to do this for the body of Christ, but I have a name and a family to protect,” Ogundipe noted, adding that his dignity and personal integrity far outweigh financial gain.
On Logistics and Relations with NewSeraph
The cleric also took the opportunity to address public misunderstandings surrounding past event delays, explaining that unseen logistical disruptions and unexpected setbacks—rather than disregard or pride—were responsible for past schedule failures.
”To the crowd waiting at the venue, none of those hidden struggles mattered,” Ogundipe reflected.
“They didn’t see the frantic phone calls or the broken-down logistics… All they saw was an empty stage.
Their quick verdicts stung, but true leadership isn’t proved by defending yourself to critics, but by showing up, honoring the calling, and letting results speak.”
Ogundipe maintained that he harbors no malice or spiritual rift toward the Convener of NewSeraph, Prophetess Yomi Sholoye (JP).
He emphasized that the disclaimer was issued purely out of transparency, to protect his reputation, and to prevent followers from making unnecessary travel plans under false pretenses.
