Edo APC Primaries: Street 2 Street Champaign Ambassadors canvasses for votes for Dr Afolabi Umakhihe less than 18 days to the APC Primaries
Popular choice and Guber Hopeful Dr Ernest Umakhihe kicked off his campaign today in Edo state. Today he started by touring 3 local area. Dr Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe was accompanied by Street2street campaign ambassadors , also on the entourage of Dr Ernest was Mr Lucky Ohimai, hon Yusuf sanni, Hon Orobosa omo ojo the local government tour visits 3 local government namely; Okada in Ovia north east, iguobazuwa in Ovia south west and Egor. There was a large turn out of party leaders and party members. They promises to nominate him as candidate of the party in the primary after reeling out his program on his agenda.
It was recalled that there was wild jubilation and celebration as the much loved aspirants for the position of Edo State Governor, Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe arrived Benin airport on Sunday, January 28. He arrived the airport after a non partisan group purchased his nomination form for him in preparedness for the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections on February 17.
The airport witnessed a standstill as Street 2Street campaign ambassadors and their entourage was at the airport to received the most talked about gubernatorial aspirant and his supporters were singing, dancing and in a joyous mood as man of the people was welcomed at the airport.
The dynamic, mercurial, charismatic and quintessential political stalwart put heavy smiles on the faces of Edolites, more especially party chieftains, delegates and members who have been yearning for him to take this drastic step and now that he has fulfilled the wishes of his people, ensuring that their dreams of him picking the party’s gubernatorial form come true, all is set for the primary elections proper.
According to a party member spoken to by our correspondent, he affirmed that the obtaining of party’s gubernatorial form by Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe is the beginning of a very bright future for Edo State. He urged all eligible votes in the forthcoming Edo State governorship election to troop out enmasse and cast their votes for Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, a reliable, dependable and accessible politician with unique democratic approach.
He stressed further that if elected as governor of Edo State, Dr. Umakhihe will ensure comprehensive development of the state and make it the genuine Heartbeat of the Nation.
