A Public Letter to the Honorable Oluwole Oke, Authored by Tiamiyu Olamide

Dear Honourable Oluwole Oke,
I have been closely observing your recent activities and comments on Facebook. It is apparent that you are feeling quite unsettled and frustrated by the backlash regarding your attempts to cross-carpet, which have not been well received by your constituents. It is essential to remind you that, as a member of the House of Representatives, you are expected to conduct yourself with honour and integrity.
I am puzzled by the narrative surrounding impeachment that you have chosen to discuss. I assure you that it has no relevance to the Osun State House of Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun.
I urge you to exercise caution in your efforts to stir political tensions, as such actions may ultimately backfire.
The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, along with the other 24 distinguished members elected on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), remain fully committed to their responsibilities and to the governance of Osun State. These members were elected by the people, and their loyalty lies with their constituents, who expect them to prioritise their needs above political manoeuvres.
I am aware of your alleged offers to some members, promising them substantial sums to defect to the APC. However, the unity and dedication of the 25 PDP members in the Osun State House of Assembly stand firm. They are resolute in their support for His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, and the transformative policies his administration has put in place across various sectors.
I can confidently state that none of them will be swayed by your deceitful tactics. They are principled individuals who prioritise the development of Osun State over personal gain, holding no animosity towards anyone.
I advise you to redirect your energy towards the achievements you have made over your two decades of service in the House, as well as the progress our state has witnessed under the administration of Sen. Dr. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.
The strength of the 8th Osun State House of Assembly lies in collaboration and a commitment to the welfare of the citizens. They will continue to work cohesively with all arms of government, demonstrating integrity and purpose in fulfilling their mandates.
Your primary duty should be to serve the people who elected you and to work towards a prosperous future for our state, rather than being driven by personal interests.
Thank you.
Signed:
Tiamiyu Olamide
Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, OSHA.
