Abuja – A rising storm of condemnation has trailed the recent online attacks launched by U.S.-based Sandra C. Duru, alias “Prof. Mgbeke,” against Commissioner of Police (CP) Akin Victor Fakorede, Head of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Monitoring Unit.

Dr. Okorieem Mente, FAF’s National Chairman, told our correspondent.“We initially ignored her attention-seeking antics, but her wild allegations are now capable of misleading the public and embarrassing Nigeria before the international community. These defamatory posts are unacceptable and criminal under Nigeria’s cybercrime laws.”
Mente stressed that CP Fakorede’s reputation remains intact and that any attempt to tarnish it through social media blackmail would be firmly resisted.

Signed by National Coordinator, Kelvin Adegbenga, the Alliance described CP Fakorede as “A barrister of law, a disciplined officer, and a professional whose career has been built on honour, fairness, and justice. At no time has CP Fakorede been involved in intimidation, harassment, or obstruction of justice as alleged.”
The group said the allegations were “baseless, malicious, and an attempt to discredit an officer who has given his best to Nigeria.”
