Having spent considerable time in Igbesa, I grasped the terrain’s potential, much like the late Awolowo envisioned during the Western region’s establishment of vast farmlands in the Awori community, which still persist today due to a lack of significant development beyond farming”. “Ado Odo-Ota’s diverse community, featuring Obas and semi-Obas, faces challenges in communication that impede collective progress. However, the region’s distinct cultural heritage, including the vibrant Egungun festival, highlights masquerade traditions that promote community interaction, as evident during my visit to Imeko, where I captured a memorable photograph with the first Aare Ona Kakanfo’s statues”.
