Mr. Shola Olugbemiro, Convener of the Nigeria Media Nite Out Awards, has presented the Most Promising Local Government Chairman of the Year Award to Hon. (Prince) Agbaje Lukmon Abiodun, the Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos State.

The award presentation took place on Thursday, January 2, 2026, at the Chairman’s office in Ayobo, and coincided with his birthday, adding special significance to the recognition.

The honour was bestowed in recognition of Prince Agbaje’s outstanding leadership, notable developmental initiatives, and unwavering commitment to effective grassroots governance since assuming office.

Prince Agbaje Lukmon Abiodun has a distinguished professional background spanning both the industrial and public sectors. He began his career in the industrial sector as a machinist, line technician, and technical officer, experiences that shaped his practical and result-driven leadership approach before his full transition into public service.

His political journey, defined by loyalty, consistency, and steady progression, began as Ward Secretary under the Alliance for Democracy (AD). Over the years, he has served in several strategic administrative capacities, including Supervisory Councillor for Works, Sole Administrator, Secretary to the Local Government, and currently as Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.

The Nigeria Media Nite Out Award recognises public office holders who demonstrate promise, dedication, and measurable impact at the grassroots level. The recognition of Prince Agbaje Lukmon Abiodun reflects growing confidence in his leadership and his continued contributions to grassroots development in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.
