The four men gang who pretended to be her husband’s old friends were later discovered as aggressive hoodlums, making further enquiries about her husband whereabout specifically, by this time she was incoherently responding that her husband has travelled to Canada which made the hoodlums angrier and they attacked her badly.
“I was not so lucky as the hoodlums attacked me, pulling me closer with an attempt to hit me with one of the dangerous weapons in their hand, before I shouted loudly for help in other to distract them, then I had a little from their grip making to use the other road to escape, while I jumped over the drainage path and fell down.”
Mrs. Deborah also said, the last thing she remembered was when she jumped through the drainage channel and the hoodlums ran away before other passerby came to her rescue.
One of the passerby named Mr. Akinremi Olaitan, who assisted her with another passerby, who later contacted newsmen, explained that they only heard a shout of help and before getting to the spot to know what was happening, they saw her on the floor panting for help before she was taken to a nearby State Hospital for immediate medical attention.
The passerby who helped her, added that the hoodlums ran through the street gate and could hear them saying “your husband can not escape from us without being punished.”
We further asked from Mrs. Deborah why are the men looking for her husband? In her response, she said, “I later realized one of the gang look like the same set of bad gang of men who attacked my husband at Tollgate Ota in 2022, according to how my husband described them to me, the tall black guy with yellow dread hair was the one who first hit him in 2022 and the incidents occurred because he disengaged his former business manager from work not knowing he has connections with some bad gangs.”
Mrs Deborah also recounted the incidence that happened in September 2023 when she lost her 4 months old pregnant to miscarriage because of her rising high blood pressure knowing her husband life is not safe anywhere in Nigeria because of life threatening from the bad gang and his former business manager.
