18th ARISE Women Conference Gathers Momentum as Siju Iluyomade Engages UNILAG Medical Students Ahead of IMPACT 2026

Preparations for the 18th edition of the ARISE Women Foundation activities are in top gear as Convener, Dr. Siju Iluyomade, intensifies engagements ahead of the global humanitarian event.
It was a beautiful moment of insightful conversations as Dr. Iluyomade recently met with members of the Association of Medical Students, University of Lagos (AMSUL) and other student representatives.
Describing the engagement as refreshing, she noted it was filled with shared ideas, laughter and collaboration as the students expressed excitement for the signature events lined up for ARISE 2026.
“The excitement is building! Together, let’s make IMPACT!” she said.
This year’s edition, tagged *’I M P A C T’*, is poised to be transformational and monumental, with prominent Nigerians both within and outside the country already signifying their intention to attend.
Scheduled to hold on *October 31st and November 1st*, the 2026 edition will attract thousands of participants both physically and online.
Activities will kick off on October 31st with the signature *’Arise Walk For Life’* aimed at sensitizing the public on healthy living and preventive healthcare. Participants will walk several kilometres within Victoria Island, Lagos, ending with dance routines featuring gospel artistes, comedians and top celebrities.
The main *Arise Women Conference* will follow on November 1st at the Ballroom of Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. The conference will feature prominent Nigerian women and notable personalities from different spheres of life who have impacted lives into both public and private sectors. They will speak on array of topics bordering on human upliftment, empowerment and sustainable impact.
As is tradition, thousands of less privileged persons are expected to participate and go home with the *Arise Pink Bucket* packages containing foodstuffs and other essentials.
The Foundation continues to make a difference through the *ARISE Medical Centre, Dafara, Abuja*, providing free healthcare services to women and families, including free childbirth services and essential medical care for vulnerable members of the community.
In the last 18 years, ARISE Women Foundation has catered to thousands of less privileged persons and households across the country, building and equipping hospitals and schools in villages, constructing boreholes, mobile clinics, computer centres, and hosting women empowerment sessions.
