B-R-E-A-K-I-N-G: Notorious Cyber-Blackmailer ‘Alfa Sunnah’ Met his Waterloo, Remanded in Kirikiri Prison

… Nigerian Police reaffirm zero tolerance for cyberstalking, defamation, and character assassination
The popular adage “every day is for the thief, but one day is for the owner” has finally caught up with Ibadan-based internet personality Saheed Toyinbo, popularly known as Alfa Sunnah. Known for targeting and defaming prominent religious leaders and respected Nigerians, his web of blackmail has come to an abrupt end
Toyinbo recently made headlines for launching malicious character assassination campaigns against Prophet Israel Oladele Ogundipe (Genesis), Shepherd-in-Charge of Genesis Global. Sources reveal that his legal troubles deepened after another cleric based in the Ogba, Ifako-Ijaiye area of Lagos State filed a separate petition against him for similar online attacks
Under current Nigerian cybercrime laws, defaming citizens online is a serious, punishable offense with strict legal consequences. Law enforcement agencies have reiterated that no online perpetrator, regardless of location, is beyond the reach of the law
Following his court appearance, Toyinbo was granted stringent bail conditions, which required:
A Recognized Traditional Ruler (Baale) A chieftaincy title recognized by the Lagos State Government, backed by landed property with a valid Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) in Lagos
A Level 12+ Civil Servant Guarantor: A biological relative employed by the Lagos State Government at Grade Level 12 or above, with active LASRRA registration and up-to-date tax clearance.
A cash deposit of N3m.
Unable to fulfill these bail conditions, Saheed Toyinbo (‘Alfa Sunnah’) was officially remanded in the Kirikiri Correctional Center, Lagos, on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. He will remain in custody until his next court appearance on November 4, 2026.
