CITYBOY LIKEMINDS VOLUNTEERS HOLD STRATEGIC MEETING IN ABEOKUTA, RECORD OVER 80,000 APPLICATIONS IN TEST PHASE

CityBoy LikeMinds Volunteers convened a high-level strategic meeting on Monday at the residence of the National Coordinator, Hon. Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade (Triple-A), bringing together key stakeholders to review progress and strengthen mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting featured the Ogun State Deputy Coordinator of the CityBoy Movement, Barrister Abeeb White; the Director General of CityBoy LikeMinds Volunteers, Comrade Temidayo Babalola; alongside other members of the team.

In his opening remarks, the Director General, Comrade Temidayo Babalola, presented an analysis of the ongoing registration exercise, revealing that over 80,000 applications have been recorded within the App’s test-running phase. He noted that 14,890 of these entries contain accurate and complete data. He commended the team for achieving this milestone within a short period of two to three weeks and expressed optimism that the figures would significantly increase by the end of the month.

Addressing the gathering, the National Coordinator, Hon. Akinlade, praised members for their dedication and resilience. He emphasized the importance of reaching the 100,000 benchmark as a critical test-run target, noting that such an achievement would provide measurable visibility and credibility when engaging with the Grand Patron, Barrister Seyi Tinubu. He reaffirmed that the App remains a vital instrument for achieving the movement’s objectives.

Barrister Abeeb White, in his remarks, disclosed that the CityBoy Movement has attracted over 400 support groups nationwide. He described the App developed by CityBoy LikeMinds Volunteers as seamless and user-friendly, noting its strategic value in building a robust database to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. He further pledged his continued support and recommended the adoption of a structured framework that would position students as ambassadors across tertiary institutions nationwide.

Following extensive deliberations, the meeting adopted key resolutions, including the development of impactful visual content to highlight the achievements of the current administration and promote re-election advocacy; the appointment and approval of coordinators and officers through the App to enhance grassroots mobilization; and the strategic deployment of social media platforms such as Facebook and TikTok for Southern engagement, alongside radio platforms to effectively reach audiences in Northern Nigeria.

The meeting concluded on a positive note with renewed commitment from all participants and a group photograph.
