…..Africa’s leading CSR recognition platform returns for its 6th edition in Lagos, Nigeria

CSR Reporters, Africa’s premier publication dedicated to Social Impact and Sustainability, is pleased to announce that entries are now officially open for the 2025 edition of the Social Impact and Sustainability Awards (SISA).

Now in its sixth year, SISA continues to recognize and celebrate outstanding individuals and organizations across Nigeria and the African continent who are driving transformational change through strategic corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable development. These changemakers are being honored for their commitment to social progress, ethical leadership, environmental responsibility, and economic empowerment.

In a statement issued by Eche Munonye, Chairman and CEO of CSR Reporters, the in-person awards ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, November 29, 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria. The high-level event will bring together some of the continent’s most influential voices in CSR and sustainability—a convergence of leaders, innovators, and visionaries shaping Africa’s development narrative.

“The 2025 edition promises to be more impactful than ever,” said Mr. Munonye. “It will be a true celebration of those setting the pace in redefining corporate responsibility—not just as charity, but as a vehicle for systemic, sustainable change.”

The 2024 edition of the Awards featured powerful insights from industry trailblazers, including a keynote address by the MD/CEO of SevenUp Bottling Company Plc, who urged stakeholders to view CSR as a means of improving the continent—not simply as an act of goodwill. SISA 2025 aims to raise the bar even higher, offering an elevated platform for recognition, collaboration, and inspiration.

“We are excited to open nominations for SISA 2025 and to recognize the outstanding efforts of those who are redefining what it means to be responsible corporate citizens,” Munonye added. “This is a platform to reward the best and inspire the rest.”

The broad Award Categories Include:
Social Impact & Human Development
Economic Stewardship & Development
Organizational Governance & Leadership
Environmental Stewardship & Sustainability

CSR Reporters encourages stakeholders across the private, public, and nonprofit sectors to submit nominations for individuals and organizations making measurable impact through innovative CSR initiatives.
