Hon. Tajudeen Obasa: The Eniafe of Ojo — A Grassroots Leader with a Heart for the People
HON. TAJUDEEN ADEKUNLE OBASA: THE PEOPLE’S REPRESENTATIVE*
Hon. Tajudeen Adekunle Obasa, popularly known as Eniafe, meaning “the one people clamour for ” is a seasoned legislator, human rights activist and proud son of Ojo, Lagos State, who redefined representation in Ojo Federal Constituency.
Born on August 29, 1970, in Ojo, Hon. Obasa had his early education at St. Michael Primary School, Ojo and Awori College, Ojo before obtaining a Diploma in Law from Lagos State University (LASU). A man of the people from day one, his journey in public service spans over 32 years.
Hon. Tajudeen was elected into the House of Representatives in 2015 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and re-elected in 2019, Hon. Tajudeen served Ojo Federal Constituency with distinction from 2015 to 2023.
As a first-timer, he shocked many with his style, people-oriented programmes, youth empowerment, and a feedback mechanism that kept him directly connected to his constituents. He once pledged: “Instead of giving a man fish, teach him how to fish. My administration will be centred around youth empowerment.”

Unlike many politicians who make noise, Hon. Tajudeen believes in action. After his re-election victory in the 2019 rerun where he polled 28,939 votes to defeat his closest rival, he stated: “I don’t believe in making noise. I don’t believe in making promises. But I know that I will improve on what I did… I am a grassroots politician. I am on ground.
He is a staunch party man, a bridge-builder, and a defender of democracy who has consistently called for unity, peace and internal democracy within the PDP.
Hon. Tajudeen Obasa remains one of the most accessible, humble and impactful representatives Ojo has ever produced — a true Eniafe, a true Omoluwabi, which makes his people clamour for his returns.
