Onireti Distributes 151 Mobility Aids to Persons with Disabilities in Igboora, Promises More Support

The Director of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Olufemi Onireti, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable Nigerians by distributing mobility aids to persons with disabilities in Igboora, Oyo State.

The outreach, held in Igboora, saw the distribution of 116 wheelchairs, 10 walking frames, 20 walking sticks and five crutches to physically challenged beneficiaries drawn from the community and its environs.

Speaking during the presentation, Onireti said the initiative was aimed at restoring hope, dignity and independence for persons living with disabilities.

He stressed that beneficiaries should never allow their physical condition to define their future or limit their aspirations.

“I want you to remain grateful to God despite your present circumstances. Disability does not determine your destiny. Keep believing in yourselves, remain hopeful, and continue to pursue your dreams. This intervention is only the beginning, and I assure you that more benefits will come to our people,” Onireti said.

He said the City Boy Movement is a prominent, youth-driven civic advocacy and grassroots political organization in Nigeria that champions President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.

Onireti added that the movement seeks to bridge the gap between the government and grassroots communities through political mobilization, economic empowerment, and civic education.

He explained that the City Boy Movement would continue to champion humanitarian programmes targeted at improving the welfare of vulnerable groups, adding that giving hope to the less privileged remains one of the core objectives of the movement.

“Our commitment is to continue touching lives and supporting those in need. We will not relent in bringing more opportunities and interventions that will positively impact our communities,” he added.

The event was attended by top executives of the City Boy Movement and the All Progressives Congress, who commended Onireti’s selfless service to the Nation.

The outreach was supported by the Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Centre, Jos.

Beneficiaries, many of whom received mobility aids for the first time, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Olufemi Onireti, the City Boy Movement and the Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Centre, Jos, describing the intervention as life-changing and a significant step toward improving their mobility, independence and quality of life.
