The United Kingdom based entertainment outfit, Angel Global Promotions, is set to host a major Yoruba cultural and showbiz event in London on Friday, November 20, 2026, with ace Fuji musician Tiri Leather billed as the main musical attraction.
According to Princess Adetutu Jakande, the Executive Officer of Angel Global Promotions UK, the event tagged ‘Alẹ́ Àṣà àti Iṣe Ilẹ Yorùbá’, is designed to celebrate Yoruba culture, heritage, music, food and traditions while providing an avenue for Africans and members of the Yoruba community in the diaspora to reconnect with their cultural roots.
Princess Jakande added that the show is being organised under the theme “Promoting Africa Heritage”, with a stated objective of educating youths in the diaspora about African culture and heritage, while it is also positioned around the message of people, culture, heritage, business, and a brighter tomorrow,” reflecting an attempt to combine entertainment with cultural education, community engagement and promotion of African identity.
Ace Fuji musician, Tiri Leather, will serve as the major musical attraction of the night, promising a strong dose of traditional and contemporary Fuji sound for invited guests. Star Highlife/Juju music artiste, Segun Michael, popularly known as Obejor, is also billed to lead a crop of other musicians expected to add variety to the entertainment lineup.
Princess Jakande stated that the event billed to be held at 137A Ormside Street, London SE15 1TF, United Kingdom, promises an evening of live music, cultural performances, African food, children’s activities and an African marketplace, giving attendees an opportunity to experience different aspects of African life and culture in one setting.
A special feature of the event is a children’s performance, with parents and guardians encouraged to register their children who wish to perform on stage.
The inclusion of children’s activities and performances, Princess Jakande noted, is consistent with her promotion outfit’s stated objective of educating younger generations in the diaspora about African heritage and ensuring that cultural traditions are passed from one generation to another.
Beyond music and stage performances, we gathered that guests will have the opportunity to enjoy African food and visit an African marketplace during the programme. The marketplace is expected to provide an avenue for African-related businesses, products and services to reach members of the community, further reinforcing the organisers’ emphasis on the connection between culture, heritage and business.
Admission to the event is advertised at £70, with the entry package specifically indicated as “Kampala & Gele. The dress requirement adds a distinctive Yoruba cultural flavour to the occasion, with guests expected to embrace traditional African dressing as part of the celebration.
With its combination of Fuji music, cultural performances, African cuisine, children’s activities and a marketplace, ‘Alẹ́ Àṣà àti Iṣe Ilẹ Yorùbá’ is shaping up as a significant Yoruba cultural gathering for Nigerians, Africans and lovers of African heritage in London.
