First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu Celebrates Nigerian Girls

Nigeria’s First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has celebrated female children as the country joins the rest of the world in marking the International Day of the girl child.
In a special message she issued on Sunday, the First Lady said the strength and potentials of every Nigerian girl should always be celebrated.
She said all girls must be allowed to enjoy her rights without any form of intimidation.
On the International Day of the Girl 2026, observed under the theme “End Child Marriage and Invest in Girls’ Rights,” we celebrate the voices, strength, potential, and leadership of girls everywhere
Every girl deserves the freedom to learn, grow, and pursue her dreams without discrimination, violence or harmful practices limiting her future,” She said.
The First Lady also called on parents and the society to ensure that the rights of girls are protected.
“ I encourage families, communities, leaders, and policymakers to protect the rights of every girl, end child marriage, and invest in her education, health, and general well-being. When girls thrive, families prosper, communities grow stronger and nations advance,” Mrs Tinubu added
