Lies From The Pit Of HELL: Ignore the Rumor, Popular Gospel Artist Tope Alabi Didn’t Donate N50m for Toluwanising’s Burial ~By Oluwaseun Fabiyi
The attention of veteran gospel minister Mrs. Tope Alabi and her husband, Mr. Soji Alabi, has been drawn to a malicious, false report circulating across social media platforms
The deceptive post fabricated by reckless bloggers claims that the gospel singer donated N50 million towards the burial of the late gospel artist Toluwanising, accompanied by fake photos and a photoshopped cheque
The Alabi Family Debunks the Fake News:
To ascertain the truth, Bethnews Media and publicist Oluwaseun Fabiyi contacted the Alabi family directly. In a brief Whatsapp chat early Monday morning, November 2, 2026, Mr. Alabi expressed utter shock and disappointment over the fabricated report, confirming that neither he nor his wife knew anything about the alleged donation
”It is completely false and baseless,” Mr. Alabi stated, expressing deep dismay at the impunity with which unverified news is being manufactured and spread across the internet
A Stern Warning and Legal Implications:
The Alabi family officially warns all perpetrators and fake news purveyors to desist immediately
The couple, renowned for their integrity and decades of dedicated ministry, emphasized that no amount of clickbait fabrication will tarnish the good name and legacy they have built in the gospel music industry
Publishing false, malicious, and defamatory reports is a grave criminal offense under Section 24(2) of the Nigerian Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Amendment Act
Any blogger, media handle, or individual who fails to immediately take down this fake news from their platforms will face swift legal action, and the family will ensure the perpetrators face the full weight of the law
It is deeply disheartening to see irresponsible digital creators eroding public trust and undermining mainstream journalism in Nigeria through fabricated stories
Mr. and Mrs. Tope Alabi remains exemplary figures and trailblazers who continue to contribute immensely to the gospel music sector and the broader entertainment landscape
The public is strongly advised to disregard the baseless rumor in its entirety.
A word is enough for the wise.
